City of Upper Arlington, Ohio

2017 Income Tax Subpoena Program

9 a.m.-4 p.m., January 22-26, 2018
Municipal Services Center, 3600 Tremont Road
Finance Department: 614-583-5280

The City of Upper Arlington's income tax subpoena program will be held January 22-26 for residents with a delinquent tax filing. Taxpayers who receive a subpoena from "RITA/UA" should appear in person to resolve their delinquent account (a parent can represent children away at school).

Taxpayers can avoid an appearance by simply e-filing, mailing or faxing returns to RITA, making sure to include the documents listed on the administrative subpoena.

  • To e-file a return: www.ritaohio.com
  • To mail a return: Attn: Compliance Department 198, Regional Income Tax Agency, PO BOX 470538, Broadview Heights, OH  44147-0538
  • To fax a return: 440-922-3510

All UA residents, aged 18 & over, must file an annual income tax return with the City, regardless of whether any tax is due. The City assesses a $50 filing penalty for late returns, unless the taxpayer can show the return filing was not required. Failure to appear results in additional penalties and possible legal action.

Additional information can be obtained by calling the City's Tax Administrator at 614-583-5280.
