It’s time to put away your hefty winter coats and pull out those rain boots – spring showers are upon us and warm weather is finally here to stay. We all have high hopes for the summer ahead, but first I invite you and your family to celebrate spring at Parks & Recreation’s annual Spring Fling family event on Saturday, May 19, from 11 am-2 pm at Sunny 95 Park, 4395 Carriage Hill Lane. Since UA is celebrating 100, this year’s event will be even more packed with fun for all ages.

This year’s Spring Fling includes these special activities:

  • Ohio School of Falconry’s owl, falcon and hawk. The falconry experts will demonstrate the power and prowess of these birds.
  • The better than ever Touch-A-Truck event where kids and adults can explore a variety of City service and safety vehicles and meet the people who bring outstanding services to the community.
  • Put your angling skills to the test with the annual Fishing Derby
  • Inflatables and classic games from the early 1900s in honor of UA’s Centennial
  • Arts and crafts such as balloon sculpting and build a box city where kids construct and decorate their very own box city
  • Live music by Brian Douglas Day
  • Previews of some of this summer’s Parks & Recreation programs

A special thanks to James Hardie Building Products, Sarah Eagleson of Keller Williams Classic Properties and The Home Depot for sponsoring some of the fun events this year!

We look forward to seeing you at Spring Fling and helping us celebrate Upper Arlington’s Centennial. Click here for more.
