City of Upper Arlington, Ohio

Under the guidance of the City Tree Commission, the City's professional staff manages thousands of street trees (trees within public street rights of way), as well as trees in parks and at various public facilities.

The City plants hundreds of trees per year, and replaces any trees that are removed. The City also performs periodic pruning and other maintenance as needed.

Trees in Upper Arlington provide a wide range of environmental, economic, and social benefits to residents, and the City is fortunate to enjoy a mature, well maintained canopy. It is our goal to nurture and perpetuate that canopy for future generations.

Upper Arlington is proud to have been recognized as a Tree City USA by the Arbor Day Foundation every year since 1990. As part of this designation, an Arbor Day Tree Planting Ceremony is held each Arbor Day in April, typically at one of our local schools.
