Household Hazardous Waste

Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio (SWACO) provides free Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) disposal services for all Franklin County residents. SWACO contracts with Environmental Enterprises Incorporated (EEI) to offer free residential recycling for HHW. Residents can bring their old lawn chemicals, paints strippers, acids, insecticides, etc. for recycling and/or environmentally safe disposal. (See list for more details.) Disposal of oil based paint is available at no charge. EEI provides disposal of water based paint to all Franklin County residents at the cost of $1 per any size can.

Please consider buying less hazardous alternatives when possible!
