The Master Plan serves as the City's primary guiding document to enable the City to preserve its high quality, residential nature while enhancing redevelopment and revitalization, and assuring fiscal security over the long term. This section contains the entire Master Plan document, a summary of the Plan, and all Master Plan Annual Reports produced to date by the City. Transportation Plan The City's Transportation Plan was accepted by City Council in 2001. The plan focuses on moving motorists, bicyclists, pedestrians and public transportation efficiently through the City, while supporting a healthy community. Key desires that emerged from the update process were to slow down traffic, divert through traffic, build safe crosswalks for pedestrians, build sidewalks and bike paths, and to mix land uses. Unified Development Ordinance The Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) serves as the City's Zoning Code. A major initiative of the City's Master Plan that was adopted in 2001, the UDO merges the zoning, subdivision and all related development provisions into one ordinance, creating a streamlined, user-friendly document. Zoning Map The city's Zoning Map, as amended from time to time, complements appropriate legislation as the final authority for the current zoning district status of land under the jurisdiction of the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO).
